Lori Simons earned a bachelor's in fine art education from the University of Arizona. Simons' work has appeared in several issues of American Artist's Watercolor Magazine, and she is the co-author of a Walter Foster instructional book: Watercolor Step-by-Step. She is a member of the Putney Painters, an invitational group in Vermont, founded by Richard Schmid and Nancy Guzik. Lori is currently writing a series of instructional articles for Watercolor Magazine, the first of which appeared in the Spring 2007 issue.
